Drop in to practice and/or receive TT. New, intermediate, and advanced practitioners welcome, as well as those interested in only receiving TT. We begin with a short reading about an aspect of TT, followed by a guided meditation, then we exchange/provide TT sessions.
This program provides a foundation in the theory and practice of Therapeutic Touch. It is designed for anyone new to the practice of TT or anyone wishing to refresh their practice. As a complementary and alternative modality, many health care professionals are learning TT, although any who have the desire to help another with their healing process are also encouraged to apply. Participants will practice fundamental techniques, understand the physiological effects, and learn about uses of TT in various settings. Experiencing a workshop such as this in the natural beauty of Indralaya greatly aids in deepening the learning process and nurtures you as you learn.
Healees may attend week 1, June 8 – 14 OR week 2, June 16 – 22.
For over 38 years, healing partners have been an integral part of the Therapeutic Touch programs at Indralaya. Without their contributions and trust these programs could not succeed. In light of this, a supportive and educational group process is designed specifically for those attending either of the June TT programs as participants addressing healing. The schedule for the first week’s program “Mentorship” is during the afternoon (meditation starts at 1:30 pm). The treatment schedule for the second week’s program “Path of Consciousness, Healing and Service” takes place during the morning after a group meditation at 9:30 am.
The intent of this week’s program is to provide a rich opportunity to deepen each phase of TT as well as to explore new means of applying TT to practice in a supportive environment. All who participate will become more effective Therapeutic Touch Practitioners.
Clinical sessions, individual and group presentations will be offered. The groups, led by experienced and TTIA credentialed Therapeutic Touch teachers, allow for meeting individual needs and questions and at the same time lend themselves to synergistic learning by all who are present. No matter what your TT experience, this week will expand and enliven you, inside and out.
Gatherings begin with mediation, a discussion topic and then Therapeutic Touch sessions with each other and guests.
This program is for committed Therapeutic Touch practitioners who regularly treat people and have a desire to go into greater depth with technique, theory, and the exploration of healing dynamics, including the role of the Inner Self. Indralaya is a healing place for all who attend, a place where we come to know being in harmony with one other and with Nature, thereby supporting the potential for healing to manifest in whatever form(s) may be needed. It is a place where we come open to learning, open to developing, and open to growing. Both intermediate and advanced level practitioners who are keen to deepen their understanding of healing and Therapeutic Touch are invited to attend.
At each practice group we have a relaxing meditation, offer Therapeutic Touch sessions to each other and our guests, and have a period for reflection on those sessions with our Healing Partners and the group. We also sometimes have guest speakers, so check in with Sue to get on the mailing list.
This group offers opportunity to practice and build your TT skills within a welcoming healing community. We welcome TT practitioners of all levels and non-practitioners, too.
Many of our regular attendees have taken TT Basic through Advanced level classes in NYC through this group. $5 donation is asked on behalf of the NYTC.
