Fourth International Congress on Therapeutic Touch Deepening Our Practice as Compassionate Healers – April 21-23
We gathered at the Eaglewood Resort and Spa in Itasca, Illinois (very close to Chicago). This congress saw people coming together form twenty-one states in the U.S. and there were 28 attendees from Canada as well as attendees from Africa, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and Austria! Keynotes included Dolores Krieger who spoke on Compassion as Power. For a copy of her talk Dee’s Chicago Paper – COMPASSION AS POWER, Click Here. Tim Boyd from the American and International Theosophical Society spoke on “The Science of the Heart” and shared some wonderful personal memories of Dora. Gloria Gronowicz inspired us with her presentation on “Understanding the Human Biofield”! Serbulent Bicer, our International Trustee from Turkey coordinated an international panel to share updates on Therapeutic Touch in their countries.
In one of many wonderful breakout sessions, Peninah Abatoni and Peggy Frank inspired us with their presentation on the work that Peninah has been doing in Rwanda – teaching Therapeutic Touch to several hundred people just this spring.
We had a fun filled evening on Saturday – a 60’s party with karaoke and bowling!
