Learner Outcomes
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive – Dalai Lama
Compassion speaks to the nature of human suffering, appreciating it and wishing that all sentient beings were free from it. It invokes knowing, that as healers, we are committed to the care, well-being and well becoming of all beings in the universe. Compassion is the foundation for many healing practices, e.g. Therapeutic Touch. Increasing research points to pathways in which this unfolds in caring for self and others.
Learning Outcomes:
All participants will:
- Describe two new insights related to understanding that compassion is the foundation of Therapeutic Touch
- Describe two ways that research validates the effectiveness of TT.
