Join us in Santa Fe, New Mexico or online on April of 2025 for a few days of sharing and learning about Therapeutic Touch® (and ourselves) as we walk this journey through the labyrinth of hope and healing.
For those of us who have been doing Therapeutic Touch for years, it comes as no surprise that TT combines both compassion and science. The moment that we begin thinking about offering a treatment, we move to our heart center, where compassion is released. As we approach our healing partner, our senses are aroused with the curiosity that creates good science.
Whatever we are drawn to offer during a Therapeutic Touch session, we recognize our potential to facilitate, and allow our healing partner’s own healing potential to be actualized. The entire session is a combination of careful and focused observation and action. Certainly, that is science.
Compassion and research combined will open the doors for a much broader interpretation of both Therapeutic Touch and research. We are all part of the research community, whether we understand statistics or not. The moment we chose to walk the labyrinth that represents our desire to shift the way we are in the world, we became Therapeutic Touch researchers.
We open on Friday with Teachers’ Day, presented by Lin Bauer, Education Trustee, and our fabulous Education Committee. Be prepared for impactful ways to talk and think about how we teach and present TT to the world. This is open to everyone – you don’t need to be a TT teacher. Then on Friday evening we celebrate with an opening ceremony and one of our keynote speakers – see more about them below. On Saturday and Sunday, a series of presenters will encourage us to explore the concept of walking the path of compassion and science through TT in various ways. And maybe we will have a party or two along the way!
